Upcoming: ‘Aka | Life of Fire’ by Ruwan Prasanna
'Aka | Life of Fire’ extends Prasanna’s earlier meditation on nature’s ephemera, exploring the moment of ignition– a moment where form, colour and texture converged into a state of becoming. Rendered in striking reds, blues and fluorescent tones, these works pulse with an inner radiance that reveals itself gradually through layered surfaces.
Prasanna graduated from Vibhavi Academy of Fine Arts, Kotte, Athurugiriya (2013) and has exhibited at India Art Fair, New Delhi (2025), National Art Gallery, Colombo (2008), Harold Pieris Gallery, Colombo (2007) and the George Keyt Foundation, Colombo (2005). Prasanna’s works are held in notable private collections, including the Galle Face Hotel, Paradise Road, and Taru Villas.
